Save the date for the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation’s “Education is Everyone’s Business” luncheon

Jordan Kreft, Editor-in-Chief

The Council Bluffs Schools Foundations is hosting its annual “Education is Everyone’s Business” luncheon. The event is typically held at the Mid-America center but due to Covid regulations, the event has gone virtual.

The luncheon is the foundation’s main event they put on every year. The luncheon discusses currents news within the district, upcoming events, updates about the foundation, and a featured guest speaker.

The luncheon is going to be held on March 18th, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Normally, the luncheon tickets cost $50 for one person to attend, mainly due to food and seating prices.

However, because the luncheon is online, and won’t have any food, ticket prices are drastically cheaper.

Tickets for any community member is $20 but if you’re a district employee, your ticket is only $10. Any community member is encouraged to attend to learn more about the district.

The luncheon features updates from Chris LaFerla, Executive Director of the foundation, Dr. Vickie Murillo, Council Bluffs Schools Superintendent, and keynote speaker, Dr. Jody Carrington.

To register for a ticket, visit cbsf.org. The foundation is excited to host this virtual event for the first time. They hope to see a great turnout this year so buy your ticket soon!
