Spring Sports Cancelled

Spring Sports Cancelled

Lindquist, Adviser

Below is an update based on what we know as of today.

Spring Sports Cancelled

Based upon the announcements by Governor Reynolds and Dr. Lebo today, the IHSAA and IGHSAU Spring Sports Seasons have been cancelled.  While we are disappointed for our student-athletes, their coaches and our officials, we fully support this decision to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities.

Summer Sports Dates Suspended

The baseball and softball seasons will be suspended and no practice nor competition start dates will be announced until Governor Reynolds and/or Dr. Lebo share their assessment regarding a safe return to school facilities and/or a safe date to resume activities.  Based on today’s announcements, we expect an update on that information June 1.

Guidance Requested from Department of Education

We are still awaiting guidance regarding:

  • Scholarship Rule as it will apply to summer and/or fall activities.
  • Transfer/Open Enrollment eligibility
  • Pre-Participation Physicals
  • Coach-Athlete Out-of-season contact.
