Rue Elementary is one of the many schools leading into TJ, they are known as the Junior Jackets.

The Iowa Department of Education nominated Rue Elementary School to be recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in the Exemplary High Performing School category.  Rue is among the top 15% of Iowa schools to demonstrate sustainable academic growth in English/language arts and math and is one of only five schools in the state to be nominated.

“I am so proud of the work by our entire school community to enhance student achievement, and it is very exciting to have Rue recognized at the state level and represent our school district as a National Blue Ribbon nominee,” Dr. Vickie Murillo stated in an email sent to all the CB staff.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools recognition program is part of a larger U.S. Department of Education effort to identify and disseminate knowledge about effective school leadership and promising instructional practices.
