On Saturday, January 4th, Thomas Jefferson’s basketball teams played the Urbandale J-Hawks. Jefferson varsity girls lost 35-54. Then varsity boys lost as well, ending with 40-69.

“I think that we were mentally strong and physically strong. I mean we lost but it was a good loss,” Jasmine Ramos stated. “As a team I think that we played collectively. Our defense was very strong, better than when we’ve played anybody else. We moved the ball a lot around to help create shots offensively.”

Tonight, January 6th, the Thomas Jefferson Jackets are going to be visiting Sioux City North. The JV boys and girls games start at 4:00 p.m. Girls varsity at 5:30 p.m. and Boys varsity starts at 7:00 p.m.
